Maki, Reino (1 JUL 1917 – 11 OCT 1975)
Services for Reino Maki, 58, of Riverside Illinois, formerly of Withee (Clark
Co., Wis.), were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Owen. Mr. Maki
died at 5:20 a.m. Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, where he had
been admitted earlier that same day.
The Rev. Douglas R. Groenewold officiated. Burial was in the Withee Riverside
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were William T. Maki, Eugene Santala, Carl Riber, Adolph Czeshinski,
Joe Milewski and William C. Kangas.
Mr. Maki was born July 1, 1917, at Withee and resided in the Town of Hixon until
1935. He then moved to Gary, Indiana, where he worked in the steel mills. From
1945 until 1975 he worked for Sciaky Brothers Welding Company, Inc., of
Clearing, Illinois.
He married the former Margaret Eck on August 15, 1950 at Chicago. She survives.
Other Survivors include a stepson, David Else, Westchester, Illinois; three
sisters, Mrs. John (Irene) Wetalla, Kaleva, Michigan, Mrs. George (Laila) Alich,
St. Paul, and Mrs. Elvin (Lilly) Kile, Owen; three brothers, Eddie, Pittsburg,
California, Martin, Royal Oak, Michigan, and Toivo, Palos Park, Illinois, and
two grandchildren.
A stepson preceded him in death.
