Petersen, Arthur S. (1904? - 9 NOV 1975)

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 12, 1975 for Arthur S. Petersen, a former Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, who was known as Svend S. Pedersen when he made his home here, at Hillcrest Mortuary Chapel, Bakersfield, California. The Rev. John Jaster, pastor of the Lutheran Church of Prayer, Bakersfield, officiated.

Pallbearers were Manfred Martin, Al Horack, Norman Harrison, Eldor Benson, Robert and Lorin Reich. Entombment was at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Petersen, 71, and a resident of Bakersfield the past 38 years, passed away November 9th, 1975 in a Bakersfield hospital. He was self-employed as an insurance salesman. He was a member of the Sons of Norway.

Svend Pedersen, as his friends will recall him, was a pioneer in the field of aviation, and excited area residents with his local flying feats.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby; two daughters, Sheila Petersen, Hollywood, California, and Dianne Strommen, Fountain Valley, California; a brother, Carl Pedersen, Withee, and four grandchildren.
