Kalmon, Allen G. (1932? – 10 NOV 1975)
A memorial Mass will be at 8 p.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in
Medford for Allen G. Kalmon, 43, Washburn, formerly of Medford. Officiating will
be the Rev. Robert Koszarek, assistant pastor.
Mr. Kalmon was one of the men who lost their lives in the sinking of the ore
carrier Edmund Fitzgerald during a storm November 10, 1975 on Lake Superior.
He was a native of the Medford area, where he attendeed school.
Survivors include his wife; five children; his mother, Mrs. Steve Kalmon Sr.,
Perkinstown Star Route, Medford; two sisters, Mrs. George Southworth, Medford,
and Mrs. Rick Anderson, Milwaukee, and six brothers, Franklin, Route 3, Medford,
David and George, both of Medford, Steve Jr., Route 2, Withee, Jeffrey,
California, and Dennis, Hudson.
