Wilfred "Red" Carnahan of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) was chosen Saturday night,
December 13, as Wisconsin's "Truck Driver of the Year."
The 60-year-old professional driver, employed by L..C.L. Transit Company of
Green Bay, has logged some 2.5 million miles in 34 years with the same employer
without a "preventable" accident. In a ceremony sponsored by Wisconsin Truckers
Safety Council at Madison, Motor Vehicle Administrator, James Peterson announced
Carnahan's award and called him the "model driver for courtesy and safety."
