Former Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, David Martin was recently selected as an
alumni distinguished professor at Georgia State University in Atlanta.
Dr. Martin was chosen in the field of Allied Health Sciences for his
effectiveness of teaching, research, services, and instructional innovation.
Her has served on numerous committees of the university and was secretary of the
faculty of the School of Allied Health Sciences last year. Dr. Martin is also
active in the Zoological Society of Atlanta, the Atlanta Track Club, and is
president of the Atlanta Coin Club.
He has been the author or co-author of over 27 publications and has presented
papers in Munich, Germany, Buenos Aires, Brazil, and Krakow, Poland.
Dr. Martin is the son of Mr. and Mr.s Ed Martin of Owen.
This year five distinguished professors were chose from among more than 700 full
time teachers at GSU.
