George H. Sisco, 90, 241 Letendre Avenue, Port Edwards, died at 8:01 p.m.
Sunday, December 14, 1975 at Riverview Hospital, where he had been admitted
Wednesday. Death was the result of complications of old age.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 17 at United Methodist
Church, Port Edwards, with the Rev. R.A. Pegram officiating. Burial was made in
the Village of port Edwards Cemetery.
Mr. Sisco was born at Fond du Lac on January 20, 1885, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Belden Sisco, and married Mabel R. Johnson on February 13, 1917 at Spencer. He
lived at Port Edwards since 1929 and owned and operated Sisco Barber Shop there.
He retired in 1971.
Prior to moving to Port Edwards in 1929, Mr. Sisco was a resident of this
community (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), and was associated with the late Percy
Clifton in a barber shop here in 1916, and then operated a barber shop in
Curtiss until they moved to Port Edwards in 1929.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Eldon, Port Edwards, and Harold, Racine; a
daughter, Mrs. Arlene Stout, Milwaukee; nine grandchildren, two
step-grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Feldner Funeral Home, Nekoosa after 4 p.m. Tuesday, and
Wednesday until 11 a.m., then at the church from noon until time of services.
Memorial may be designated to the Memorial Fund of the United Methodist Church,
Port Edwards.
