Salisbury, Ellen A. (24 February 1894 – 12 September 1975)
A Town of Grant native, Mrs. Clarence (Ellen A.) Salisbury of Neillsville, died
suddenly Friday. Sept. 12 at the age of 81. Funeral services were held Monday
morning from the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home with the Rev. William Noble of the
United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was made in the Neillsville City
Cemetery.
Mrs. Salisbury, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William King, was born February 24,
1894, in the Town of Grant and was educated in schools there. Her first marriage
was to Fred M. Darling, who preceded her in death. She was married to Clarence
Salisbury in 1961. Mrs. Salisbury lived in Neillsville or the surrounding area
throughout her entire lifetime.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence; one son, Earl Darling of Neillsville,
one sister, Mrs. Bert (Lydia) Schaefer of Loyal; and eight grandchildren and 17
great-grandchildren.
