Anthony, Ruby (26 April 1901 – 19 September 1975)

A native of the Town of York and former Granton resident, Ruby Anthony of Memorial Home, died Friday, September 19, at the age of 74. Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton with the Rev. William Noble of the United Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Windfall Cemetery.

Miss Anthony, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Anthony, was born April 26, 1901, in the Town of York and was educated in local schools. Prior to entering Memorial Home, she lived her entire lifetime in the Granton area.

Miss Anthony was a devoted worker in the Sunday school of the Granton United Methodist Church, of which she was a member, and served as secretary and treasurer to the school for a number of years. While she especially enjoyed working with children, she was helpful to many people, lending a hand wherever needed.

There are no immediate survivors.

Pallbearers were Milford Rowe, Emil Henninger, Ross Steve ns, Emil Tykac, John Hammond and Harold Garbisch.

Harold Schlinsog was the soloist and Mrs. Tony Bezlyk, the organist.
