Biddle, John (23 Sep 1908 – 1 MAR 1972)

John (Slick) Biddle, age 63, resident of the township of Mead (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away Wednesday, March 1st, 1972 of an apparent heart attack at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Donald H. Horn, in Longwood Township.

He was born in the Reseburg area on September 23, 1908. He was married to Clara Osowski on June 8, 1932.

He is survived by his wife Clara of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.); one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Horn, also of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Donald James, Diane, and Daniel Horn, all of Greenwood; five sisters, Miss Clara Biddle, Mrs. Rose DeWorth, Mrs. Virginia Heiser, all of Milwaukee, Mrs. Dale Bowman of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Mrs. John H. Witt of Boyd; four brothers, William of Stanley, Dennis, Andrew, and Frank, all of Thorp.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard.

Pallbearers were his nephews, Gary Biddle, Fred Biddle, Clarence Biddle, Dennis Graham, Sam Borowski, Jr., and Gerald Witt.

Funeral services were held at the Thorp Funeral Home on Sunday, March 5th at 1:30, Rev. Robert Olson officiating. Burial was in the Forest Hill Cemetery on Route 3, Greenwood, Wisconsin.
