Hubbard, Bert (24 NOV 1887 – 28 MAR 1972)
Bert Hubbard, 84, died Tuesday evening, March 28, 1972 at Victory Memorial
Hospital at Stanley, where he had been a patient since February 3.
Mr. Hubbard was born on November 24, 1887 at Durand, Wisconsin. He married Ruth
cott on October 5, 1909.
They lived at Chippewa Falls and Bloomer prior to moving to Durand, where they
farmed until 1920, when they moved to a farm in the Town of Worde (Clark Co.,
Wis.)..
Upon retirement in 1967 they moved to the City of Thorp.
Mrs. Hubbard died in 1963.
Surviving are two sons, Allen and Dean of Thorp; and three daughters, (Evelyn)
Mrs. Floyd Cook, (El Vera) Mrs. Harvey Boie, both of Thorp, and (Beryl) Mrs.
Marcie Wagener of Muskego, Wisconsin; and 28 grandchildren, 25
great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Misfeldt of
Thorp and Mrs. Nora McGuine of Durand.
He was a member of the Thorp United Methodist Church.
Reverend David Fuller officiated at the burial service Saturday afternoon, with
Miss Candice Horn as soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Chester Johnson on the organ.
Six grandsons served as pallbearers: Dennis, Gordon, and Robert Hubbard, Ronald
Wagener and Richard and Russell Boie.
