At the 19th Annual Wisconsin Business Leadership Conference, John Nied, from
Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) High School was named Wisconsin Mr. FBLA for 1972-73
school year. The Thorp Chapter also received first place in Parliamentary
Procedure Competition, which included a written and performance examination.
Thorp was one of over 70 schools that attended the conference at Green Lake,
Wisconsin. Students numbering over 1,000 competed in various business and skill
events. Those receiving recongintion from Thorp are as follows:
• Bookkeeping – 2nd – Kathy Schmitz
• Public Speaking – 3rd – Diane Ebben
• Spelling Team – 2nd – Nancy Osowski, Linda Abramowicz, and Barb Olejniczak
• Miss FBL – 3rd – Jeanie Maslowski
• Mr. FBL – 1st – John Nied
• Parliamentary Procedure – 1st – Chris Nolechek, Kim and Keta Paulson, Joan
Morgan, Shary Stuesser
