Martin, Ronald D. (18 NOV 1953 – 15 APR 1972)
Ronald Dean Martin, age 17, resident of Route 2, Gilman (Taylor Co., Wis.), was
killed in a truck accident on Saturday, April 15, 1972, in the Town of Pershing.
He was born in Stanley November 18, 1954, son of Francis and Helen Martin. He
attended the Donald and Hannibal Schools and was a member of the Senior class of
1972 at Gilman High School. He was active in the FFA program and was an officer
of that organization.
He is survived by his parents; four sisters, Sherry of Milwaukee, Connie of
Thorp, Nancy and Vickie at home; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rhodell
Martin of Gilman, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Flossie Powers of
Ladysmith.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church at
Donald, with Father Alphonse Zoltowski officiating. Burial was in the Donald
Cemetery.
