Skrzypczak, Zigmund (29 APR 1913 – 5 APR 1972)
Zigmund Skrzypczak, 58, operator of Zig's Bar, Phillips, passed away at his home
at 152 N. Lake Avenue on Wednesday, April 5, 1972, at 2 a.m. He was born in
Lublin (Taylor Co., Wis.), on April 29, 1913. He moved to Phillips in 1969. He
served in the Army during World War II. Mr. Skrzypczak was employed by the
Rockford Airport before going to Phillips.
Funeral services were held at Lake Funeral Home on Saturday, April 8 at 10:00
a.m., with Reverend Roman Misiewicz of St. Mary's Polish National Church,
Lublin, officiating. The Lane-Kreiling American Legion Post No. 122 of Phillips
had charge of military services. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lublin,
Wisconsin.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Antoinette Skrzypczak, Lublin; a son, Roger,
Milwaukee, from his first marriage; a son, Brian, and a daughter, Cheryl, from
his second marriage to Shelba Reno; four sisters, Mrs. Ben (Stella) Kinas,
Phillips, Mrs. Walter (Lucille) Krause, Park Ridge, Illinois, Mrs. Tom (Agnes)
Meyers, Wheeling, Illinois, Mrs. Stanley (Clara) McKenna, Atlanta, Georgia; a
brother, Marion, Lublin.
