Army Private David G. Sackmann, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Sackmann, route
3, Thorp (Clark Co.), Wisconsin, completed the Medical Corpsman Couse at the
U.S. Army Medical Training Center, Ft. Sam Houston, Texas.
He learned to perform routine patient care and treatment duties in combat ares,
hospital units, dispensaries, clinics and other medical facilities. He also
received instruction in the transportation of sick and wounded by ground, air,
and water means.
Pvt. Sackmann entered the Army in November 1971 and completed basic training at
Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri.
He is a 1969 graduate of Thorp Public High School, and attended Wisconsin State
University at Medford.
