Bohn, Jessie B. (28 OCT 1900 – 30 APR 1972)
Jessie B. Bohn,71, passed away April 30th, 1972 at Victory Memorial Hospital,
Stanley. Funeral services were held at Thorp United Methodist Church on
Wednesday, May 3rd, with Rev. David Fuller officiating at the 1:30 p.m. service.
Interment was made in the East Thorp Cemetery.
Pallbearers were all nephews of the decease: Jerome Hansen, Donald Ramberg, Ray
Kaz, Jimmy Harper, Fred Pagel and Theron Pagel.
Jessie Harper, the daughter of the late Henry Harper and Julia Logan Haprer, was
born ocot
28th, 1900 at Richland Center, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to Walter
P. Bohn, November 28, 1920 at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). She resided in Sheboygan
from 1924 – 1933, then coming to Thorp where she has since resided. Mrs. Bohn
was active in the following organizations: Legion Auxiliary, Past President of
that organization, member of Grey Ladies, Victory Memorial Hospital, WSCS, Thorp
Methodist Church, Women's Relief Corps and Friendly Neighbors Club.
Surviving are her husband, Walter P. Bohn, Thorp, one son, Walter L. Bohn,
Indio, California; one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by three
brothers and four sisters.
Relatives and friends attending were from: Indio, California, Wausau, Owen,
Plymouth, Green Bay, Viroqua, Milaukee, Brokau, Sheboygan, Stanley, Caledonia,
Cornell, Menomonie, Eau Claire, Boyd, Augusta, Columbus, Ohio, Fall Creek,
Ellsworth, Chippewa Falls, Elk Mound, Medford, and Chicago.
