Happe, Wayne “Ron” (16 January 1936 – 15 February 2020)
Wayne "Ron" Happe, 84, Chili, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at
Marshfield Medical Center.
Wayne was born on January 16, 1936 in Chili to William and Lottie (Albrecht)
Happe. He attended Marshfield Public School and graduated from Marshfield High
School. On May 31, 1958, he married Bonnie Bullock in Oshkosh.
Wayne was a volunteer and chief for the Chili Fire Department for 50 years. He
also owned a trucking company, farmed, drove semi, was the township patrolman,
grew shiitake mushrooms, and ran Sparkle Wash. He enjoyed woodworking, helping
his son with his excavation business, spending time with his grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, and supervising everything and everyone.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, 3 children, Theresa (Simon) Fischer, Bill
(Ruth) Happe, and Dave (Charity) Happe, all of Chili, 11 grandchildren, and 11
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Rowene Tanner, and brother,
Harland Happe.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
