The Neillsville Kiwanis Club has named Neillsville High School senior Alli Schoengarth as its next Junior Kiwanian.

The club welcomed her to the role in its Feb. 3 meeting. Her time as the Junior Kiwanian will be throughout February.

“With its purpose of highlighting the accomplishments of our top high school students, the selection of Schoengarth for this award is well-deserved,” Kiwanian Brent Shoup wrote in a Feb. 6 press release.

At the high school, Schoengarth is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Spanish club. She has also served on the student council. Additionally, Schoengarth has been a three-year academic award winner and achieved A-honor roll throughout high school. She belongs to 4-H, Being a Leader and Standing Tall (BLAST) and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).

Schoengarth is a part of several sports at the high school.

“As a three-sport athlete, Schoengarth has been a factor in the successes of the volleyball, basketball and track squads for four years,” Shoup wrote.

In the community, she has volunteered as a blood drive worker, assisted in refereeing basketball, assisted with little league basketball and co-hosted for Hoops for Hunger. She has been an active member of Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD). Schoengarth works at Schmitty’s on Main.

Following graduation, Schoengarth intends to enroll at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for accounting.

“The Neillsville club is pleased to have talented and ambitious individuals like Alli Schoengarth as Junior Kiwanians,” Shoup wrote. “We wish her continued success as she pursues her further education.”

She is the daughter of Al and Tina Schoengarth.
