Doreen Osowski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Osowski, has been chosen as one of
two recipients in Wisconsin for the Elinor Shagger Memorial Award.
The recipient must have participated in the last Badger Girls State and have
plans to go into teaching as a career. Doreen was Badger Girl from Thorp (Clark
Co., Wis.) last year and intends to teach primary education.
She may use the award, a scholarship of $100 at any school of her choice.
As a result of the award, Doreen will also be able to attend the American Legion
Auxiliary Convention in Green Bay in mid-July.
