Raven, Mary E. (29 MAY 1972)
In the presence of their immediate family, Mary E. Raven of Thorp (Clark Co.,
Wis.) and Marvin W. Babbitt of Bloomer repeated the solemn nuptial vows in a
4:00 double ring ceremony at the First Congregational Church in Bloomer on May
29th, 1972.
The Reverend Wayne T. Lura performed the ceremony. Mrs. Todd Hassemer, daughter
of the groom, attended as maid of honor, while Mr. Wayne Raven, son of the
bride, served as the best man.
A reception was held at the White pine Steakhouse following the ceremony.
The bride was a teacher in the Thorp Public School and the groom is the post
Master of the Bloomer Post Office.
The couple will make their home at 2104 9th Avenue, Bloomer, Wisconsin, after a
wedding trip to the south.
