Watenpuhl, Barbara (Marriage – 11 October 1975)
Miss Barbara Watenpuhl became the bride of Albert Parrish in a 7 p.m. ceremony
preformed Saturday, October 11, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church by the
Rev. Norman W. Lindloff. Afterwards, a dinner was served at the Wildcat Inn.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Watenpuhl, Rt. 3 Neillsville and
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Parrish, Rt. 2 Granton.
The bride appeared in a belted princess style gown of ivory crepe fashioned with
a lace-trimmed neckline, long sleeves and a short train. Lace also trimmed her
Camelot style veil. She carried a Flemish bouquet of pink roses, baby’s breath
and colored carnations accented with greenery as she was presented in marriage
by her father.
Dusty pink knit shirtwaist style gowns were worn by Mrs. Jeffrey Sigler of
Wisconsin Rapids, matron of honor, and Mrs. Ray Howard of Milton, bridesmaid.
Long stemmed roses complimented their gowns.
Attending the groom were Ray Howard, Milton, as bestman and Jeffrey Sigler,
Wisconsin Rapids, as groomsman. Guests were seated by Randall Watenpuhl, West
Allis.
Sharon Weber was the organist and Connie Hagedorn the soloist.
The new Mrs. Parrish, a 1975 graduate of Neillsville High School, is employed in
the dietary department of Memorial Hospital. Her husband, who graduated from
Granton High School in 1974, is employed by a Neillsville firm. They will live
on Rt. 2 Granton.
