Meyers, Fern Ann (Marriage – 11 October 1975)
Miss Fern Ann Meyers of Osseo and David Edward Hansen of Eau Claire were married
Saturday, October 11, in a 7 p.m. candlelight ceremony performed at Our Savior’s
Lutheran Church, Greenwood, by the Rev. David Wenger. A dinner in the church
parlors preceded a reception and dance at the Loyal American Legion Hall.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Leneil Meyers, Greenwood, and Mr. and
Mrs. Francis Hansen, Willard.
The bride’s heirloom look gown of candlelight satapeau was fashioned with a high
neckline and sheer, finely pleated bodice and bishop sleeves. Ivory lace trimmed
the neck, bodice, sleeves and full chapel train. Her elbow length veil was held
by a Juliet cap. She carried a nosegay of roses, daises and baby’s breath.
Miss Cindy J. Meyers, Eau Claire, was the maid of honor and Miss Marge Rhode,
Altoona, the bridesmaid. Their gowns of apricot and turquoise, respectively were
complimented by matching nosegays of daisies and baby’s breath.
The groom was attended by Lawrence Logue, Madison, as bestman and by Dennis
Hansen, Eau Claire as groomsman. Douglas Hansen, Willard, and Steve Sizer, Eau
Claire, acted as ushers.
The newlyweds are both 1973 graduates of Greenwood High School and 1975
graduates of District One Technical Institute. The bride who also attended the
university of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, is employed as a practical nurse in Osseo,
where the couple will live. The groom is employed as a salesman for an auto
parts firm.
