Jensen, Herbert Peter ? May 1921 – 11 October 1975)
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Congregational Church in City Point
for Herbert Peter Jensen, 77, City Point, who was found dead at approximately 4
a.m. Saturday, October 11, in Jackson County. Death, attributed to an apparent
heart attack, occurred about 2 p.m. Friday, October 10.
The Rev. Dan Carlson officiated at the services. Arrangements were made by the
Hansen Funeral Home, Marshfield.
Born May 1898, in City Point, Herbert Jensen attended City Point schools and
Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids. He was married to the former Orpha
Edith Sullivan on July 12, 1921, at Winona, Mn. Mr. Jensen was dealer in high
grade sphagnum moss and a cranberry grower in the City Point area for most of
his lifetime.
Survivors in addition to his wife, include six children: Mrs. Everett (Norma)
Nordman of City Point, Mrs. Martin (Billie) Reshel of Slinger, Mrs. Lyman
(Doris) Schoemaker and Mrs. Ronald (Joy) Zieher of Pittsville, Mrs. Lavern
(Marjorie) Jacobson and Orman Jensen of City Point. He is also survived by 23
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
