Fleischmann, Carrie (20 August 1906 – 12 October 1975)
An area resident for the past five years, Mrs. Wilhelm (Carrie) Fleischmann,
Sr., 69, of Rt.1 Granton, was pronounced dead on arrival Sunday at Memorial
Hospital. Funeral services were to be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from St.
John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiating.
Interment was to follow in the Windfall Cemetery at Granton. The Georgas-Gesche
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fleischmann, the daughter of Charles and Mary E. Hill Gill, was born August
20, 1906, at Eagleville and attended schools at Palmyra and West Allis. Her
marriage to Wilhelm. F. Fleischmann, Sr., took place August 13, 1924, at
Palmyra. The couple farmed in Walworth and Waukesha counties and operated a
Go-cart track in Dousman. They retired and moved to rural Granton in May of
1970. Mrs. Fleischmann was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church
and of the Pine Valley Homemakers Club.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include eight children: Mrs. Donald
(Gladys) Swan of Mukwonago, Wilhelm Fleischmann, Jr., and Mrs. Charles (Lois)
Galetka of Neillsville, Robert Fleischmann of Lake Geneva, Ervin Fleischmann of
Chicago, Il., Clifford Fleischmann of Mukwonago, Edwin Fleischmann of Ft. Hood,
Tx., and Gary Fleischmann of Waukesha; and 34 grandchildren and 15
great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by three sisters: Mrs. Jane Fellenz of Wausaukee, Mrs.
Marjory Braun of Porterfield and Mrs. Mary Yankee of Genoa; and five brothers,
Robert Gill of Wausaukee, Harvey Gill of Madison, Roy Gill of Rochester, Herbert
Gill of Trevor and Donald Gill of Burlington.

Fleischmann, Carrie (? – 12 October 1975)
Funeral services were held October 15 from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran
Church for Mrs. Carrie Fleischmann, 69, of Rt. 1 Granton, who died October 12.
The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated, and burial followed in the Windfall
Cemetery at Granton. Arrangements were made by the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Charles Rendall, Jr., Robert Fleischmann, Jr., Charles Galetka,
Jr., Dennis Fleischmann, Kenneth Fleischmann and Michael Fleischmann.
The St. John’s choir sang “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “Be Still My
Soul.” Sharon Weber was the accompanist.
