Jenni, Lisa A. (Marriage – 18 October 1975)
Miss Lisa A. Jenni became the bride of Jerry F. Laatch in a 6:30 p.m. ceremony
performed Saturday, October 18, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church by
Rev. Norman W. Lindloff. A reception followed at the Neillsville Country Club.
The bride presented in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Roland W. Jenni, Neillsville. Mrs. and Mrs. Francis Laatch, also of Neillsville,
are the groom’s parents.
A cascade bouquet of white gardenias and eucalyptus complimented the bride’s
simply-styled gown of Marcaine accented with jeweled trim at the empire
waistline. Her turban-style headpiece held a veil of sheer illusion.
Miss Ginny Bell, North Bennington, Vt., was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were
Mrs. Robert Schmidt of Cleveland, Oh., Miss Merrill Jenkins of Marshfield and
Mrs. Wayne Brown of Hudson. Their rust colored gowns had floor length capes with
maribou-trimmed hoods. Each carried a lighted lantern decorated with white and
orange roses and bittersweet.
The groom was attended by James Laatch, Flushing, N.Y., as bestman and by kent
Marshall of Neillsville, Gary Barth of Granton and Philip Jenni of Ripon as
groomsmen.
Richard Paquette of Stoughton, Wayne Brown of Hudson and Miss Virginia Vin of
Kenosha served as ushers.
Miss Sharon Weber was the organist and Mrs. Connie Hagedorn, the soloist.
The bride was honored at prenuptial showers given by Mary Schmidt, by Faith
Vine, Joanne Tibbett and Millie Schraufnagel, and by Cindy Strangfeld and Jean
Jordahl. Merrill and Trink Jenkins were hostesses at a brunch.
A 1970 graduate of Neillsville High School, the new Mrs. Laatch received a
bachelor of arts degree in political science from Ripon College in 1974. Her
husband graduated from the same high school in 1969 and attended the University
of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Following their return from a wedding trip to Florida, the newlyweds will live
in Neillsville where they own and operate a drive-in restaurant.
