Mattes, Sheree (Marriage – 25 October 1975)
Miss Sheree Ann Mattes and Brad Bichanich were married Saturday, October 25, in
a 2 p.m. ceremony performed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Thorp by the Rev.
Robert Olson. Afterwards, the couple greeted guests at a reception in the Thorp
American Legion Hall.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence Mattes, Rt. 3 Thorp. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bichanich, Rt. 6 Chippewa Falls,
are the groom’s parents.
Serving as honor attendants were Sue Gajda, Eau Claire, and Bill Bishop, Thorp.
Bridesmaids were Barb Rogalski, Thorp, and Shirlee Mattes, sister of the bride.
Andy Asselin, Lake Tahoe, Nv., and Blake Bichanich, brother of the groom, acted
as groomsmen. Ushering duties were shared by Rick Bishop, Thorp, and Sam Slota,
Eau Claire.
The bride was honored at a prenuptial shower given by her bridesmaids at the
Rogalski home.
A graduate of Thorp High School, the new Mrs. Bichanich has been employed by a
Thorp life insurance company. Her husband graduated from the same school and is
employed by a finance firm in La Crosse, where the couple will live upon
returning from a wedding trip to Lake Tahoe, Nv.
