Touska, Alfonse (20 July 1885 – 21 October 1975)
Funeral services were held Friday from the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home for
Alfonse Touska, 90, of Memorial Home, who died Tuesday, October 21. The Rev.
Joseph Henseler of St. Mary’s Catholic Church officiated, and burial followed in
the Town of Seif Cemetery.
Mr. Touska was born July 20, 1885, in Czechoslovakia and came to the United
States as a small boy. He worked in the merchant marine for many years and also
lived in the Neillsville area for many years. For 12 years, he lived in
Plainfield. Mr. Touska returned to Neillsville in 1969 and made his home at
Memorial Home.
His marriage to the former Frances Dimler took place May 13, 1957, at
Plainfield. Mrs. Touska preceded her husband in death in February of 1970.
Surviving are four stepchildren: Mrs. Arnold (Eleanor) Klauer of Milwaukee, Mrs.
Angilo (Grace) Larva of Burbank, Il., and Mrs. Ted (Mildred) Kissling of
Neillsville; and 10 step-grandchildren.
