Haas, Karen (26 JUL 1952 – 11 JUN 1972)
Karen Haas, 19, died of asphyxiation on Sunday, June 11, 1972 two miles west of
Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). Thorp Funeral Home and St. Bernard's Catholic Church.
Father Francis Brockman officiated, with interment being made in the parish
cemetery.
Pallbearers were cousins, Dave Navarre, Bill Navarre, Rick Navarre, Don Smith,
Glen Seaman, and ? Smith.
Karen was born July 26, 1952 at Thorp and was a student at the University of
Wisconsin, eau Claire.
Surviving are her parents, La Verne and Kathryn Haas; three brothers, Ricky,
Randy and Russell, at home; four sisters, Lori, a student at the UW, Eau Claire,
Jane, Annette, and Geralyn, at home.
