Gostomaki, Mr./Mrs. Frank (Gold - 17 JAN 1972)

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gostomski celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, June 17, 1972 with a 12:00 noon Mass at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church. Following the Mass, at St. Hedwig's Parish Hall, was an afternoon reception and 4:30 supper for relatives, and Open House for friends at neighbors at 8:00 p.m., with a dance and lunch.

Frank Gostomski was united in marriage to Rose Gliniecki on January 17, 1922, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Castle, Wisconsin, by Father Francis Brzostowicz.

All living attendants from the original wedding attendant the celebration. They are Angeline Harpst and Harriet Moberg, Rose's sisters, and Sue Ludke, Frank's sister.

To this union was born 13 children: Lorraine Grajkowski, New Berlin, Raymond Arnold, Arlington, Texas, Edith Staron, Melrose Park, Illinois, Lawrence, Thorp, Harriet Shay, Streamwood, Illinois, Frank Jr., Wahoo, Nebraska, Rosemary Abramowicz, Lublin, Richard, Owen, Dennis, Palm Springs, Florida, Rita Haas, Greenwood, Victor, Conroe, Texas, Phyllis Butek, Thorp, and John, Omaha, Nebraska.

They also have 50 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, and 8 great-grandchildren.

This celebration was cause for a great family reunion, because all the children, with their wives and husbands, and 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren attended. Also attending were Frank's and Roses' brothers and sisters and their families.

The highlight of the day was a 2-mile horse and buggy ride for Frank and Rose from the church to the Parish Hall. The carriage and hoses belong to Coach Bernard Stuttgen of Thorp.
