Father John Puerner performed the marriage of Miss Constance Kay Englebretson
and Theodore Lato at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church on Saturday, June 10, 1972 at
four p.m. Dave Hull, uncle of the groom, sang "One Hand, One Heart," "We've Only
Just Begun" and "Ave Maria," accompanied by Roger Truckey as organist.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Englebretson, Loyal (Clark Co.,
Wis.) and Mr. and Mrs. Joe A. Lato, Thorp (Clark Co.).
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length white satin
gown, Victorian style, with embroidered lace trim, bishop sleeves, chapel length
train with embroidered lace trim. A Camelot headpiece with embroidered lace trim
held her waist length veil, and she carried a bouquet of white roses, miniature
white carnations, lily of the valley, star flowers, ivy and camellia foliage.
Miss Patricia Radue, friend of the bride, was maid of honor, and bridesmaid was
Miss Mary Lato, sister of the groom. They wore floor length sunshine yellow
crepe Victorian Style dresses with bishop sleeved and braided trim. They carried
nose gays of white, violet, pink carnations and yellow daisies.
Miss Audrey Karpinski, cousin of the groom, was miniature bride, wearing a white
satin floor length Victorian style dress with braided lace trim.
Attending the groom was Frank Jacques, friend of the groom, and Patrick
Englebretson, brother of the bride. Ushers were Timothy Englebretson, brother of
the bride, Daniel Hull, cousin of the groom. Ring bearer was Roy Lato, brother
of the groom.
A dinner, reception and dance were held at the Joe Lato residence.
After a wedding trip to Canada and northern Wisconsin they will reside on route
3, Thorp.
