Debevec. Ralph (3 October 1927 – 28 October 1975)

The community was saddened last week by the death of Ralph Debevec, 48, a former Willard resident. He died on October 28, in Lodi.

Funeral services were held Friday morning from St. Patrick Catholic Church. Burial was made in the parish cemetery, with Rev. Thomas Sosinski officiating.

Pallbearers were members of the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Debevec was born October 3, 1927, at Willard to Anton and Mary Zevnik Debevec. He was educated in Willard, Greenwood High School and later entered the University at Madison.

He was married to Dolores Zakrajcek in Willard on September 1, 1951. After their marriage they lived in Madison, Milwaukee and the time of his death, at Lodi.

Surviving are his wife and six children: Kathleen and Barbara of Madison; Edward of Watertown; David, Jim and Judy, at home; two sisters: Mrs. Joe (Mary) Rakovec, Marshfield; Mrs. Eleanor Fale, Brookfield, Il.; five brothers: Tony of Greenwood, Robert and Frank of Willard, Charles of Rockville, Md., and Ray of Pasco, Wa.

Those from away who attended the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Tony Debevec, Greenwood; Stanley Pekol, Sr., Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Debevec and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Debevec of Willard; Charles Debevec, Minneapolis, Mn.; Mrs. Eva Severson and Mrs. Edith Backus, Mr. and Mrs. Tytor, Mrs. Mike Klinke of Greenwood; Mrs. Frank Pekol, Sr.; Mrs. Dave Thomas of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Rakovec of Marshfield; Mrs. Eleanor Fale and Robert Fale of Brookfield, Il.; Teresa Rakovec and Mrs. David Grichel of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. John Pernic, Sr., of Greenwood; Robert Pernic of Williams Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Volovsek of Franklin; Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Ruzic, Sr., of Milwaukee; Edward Zakrajcek of Culver City, Ca.; and Stanley Pekol, Jr., Neillsville.
