Ciesielski, Nancy Sue (1 JUL 1972)
St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover (Wisconsin) was the setting for the
nuptial vows of Miss Nancy Sue Ciesielski and David Clement Schmidt Saturday,
July 1, 1972.
The Reverend Francis Przybylski celebrated the 2 p.m. mass for the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Ciesielski, Plover, and son of Mr. and Mr.s Clement
Schmidt, Junction City. The Debbie Fisher group from St. Joseph's Church
provided the music.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown fashioned with fitted
Empire bodice of Venice lace. Tiny floral Venice lace motifs enhanced the
bodice, mandarin collar and cuffs for the Camelot sleeves. A narrow blue satin
ribbon, woven through lace, encircled the waist line. The sheath skirt of
organza had two rows of the same lace around the hemline and the chapel train. A
bouffant veil of imported English illusion was secured to a Camelot cap trimmed
with embroidered Venice lace, floral motifs, and seed pearl petals. The bridal
bouquet was a cascade of blue and white carnation interspersed with baby's
breath.
Miss Diane Cychosz was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the Misses Sandy and Sue
Schmidt, sister of the groom, and Miss Louis Johnson. They wore powder blue
gowns of flocked organza over taffeta in a bell silhouette. The fitted bodices
had natural waistlines trimmed with tiny pearl buttons, square necklines
outlined with narrow Venice lace, and full sleeves. The waistlines were marked
with wide satin ribbon accented with white Venice lace, floral motifs which
formed streamers at the back. Each carried a white wicker basket filled with
blue and white daisies.
Miss Susan McCormick, a cousin of the bride, served as flower girl.
Robert Ciesielski Jr., brother of the bride, was best man. Mark Ciesielski,
brother of the bride, Dan Schmidt, brother of the groom, and Dale Wehlacz,
cousin of the groom, were groomsmen. Seating tuests were Noel McCormick, uncle
of the bride, and Clarence Schmidt, uncle of the groom.
James and Dennis Schmidt, of Thorp, cousins of the groom, served mass.
A reception, dinner and dance at Wildwood Gardens followed the wedding.
The bride, a 1970 graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School, is a student at the
University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, and is employed there as a secretary.
Mr. Schmidt, also a P.J. Jacobs graduate of 1970, is a computer operator at
Sentry Insurance.
After a honeymoon in Wisconsin dells and southern Wisconsin, the couple will
lived Plover.
