Gay, Mr./Mrs. Ed (45th – 5 JUL 1972)
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gay, Gilman, observed their 45th wedding anniversary with a
service held at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Gilman on Sunday, July 2,
1972, followed with a reception at Koolmo's Ballroom, Gilman.
Ed Gay and the former Ann Rembleski were married July 5, 1927 at St. Peter and
Paul Catholic Church, Gilman. Attending the couple 45 years ago were Mrs. Lottie
(Ay) Kostick, Lublin, Mr. Tony Rembleski, Gilman, Mrs. Josephine (Rembleski)
Majkowicz, Chicago, Mr. Charles Gay, Clarden Hill, Illinois, Miss Rose Gay,
Brookfield, Illinois, Mr. John Cieslek, deceased, and Mrs. Caroline (Rembleski)
Vernig, Medford. Mr. and Mrs. Gay have farmed in the Gilman area since their
marriage.
To this union were born seven children, Walter of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania,
Leonard of Gilman, Raymond of Davenport, Iowa, Richard of Kaiserslautern,
Germany, Robert of Chippewa Falls, William of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and
Kathleen Lukasik of Chicago. They also have six grandchildren.
Those attending this occasion were four of their attendants, Tony Rembleski,
Lottie Kostick, Josephine Majkowicz, Caroline Vernik, six of their children,
Leonard, Raymond, Richard, Robert, William Kathleen, and five grandchildren;
also guests from Chicago, Minneapolis, st. Paul, Davenport, Iowa,
Kaiserslautern, Germany, Milwaukee, and many other cities in Wisconsin.
Mr. and Mrs. Gay would like to thank all those who made this a very memorable
occasion.
