Four person, including cheese from Foremost-Blue Moon, have won Governor’s
Sweepstakes award in two days of judging in advance of the Wisconsin State Fair.
Theron Pagel, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), took top honor in the Port Salut cheese
competition. Other winners are Stanley Kanz, Denmark, butter; Anton Pederson,
Shullsburg, fresh cheddar cheese, and John Wisse, Fond du Lac, blue cheese.
Prize winning entries will be displayed during the fair, which opens Friday and
runs through August 20, 1972.
