Myers, Alice L. (29 AUG 1882 – 6 AUG 1972)
Mrs. Alice L. Myers, age 89, resident of Stanley (Chippewa Co., Wis.), passed
away at the Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, Sunday afternoon.
She was born in Ness City, Kansas on August 29, 1882, daughter of John and Mary
Masters. She grew up in Kansas, and on August 20, 1901 was united in marriage to
Chauncey I. Myers at Syracuse, Indiana. They came to the Stanley area shortly
after their marriage, and she has resided there since. She has made her home at
the Victory Memorial Nursing Home, Stanley, for the past two years. She was a
member of the United Methodist Church of Stanley, the Stanley Eastern Star, and
the Royal Neighbors.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mr. And Mrs. Charles (Juanita)
Schmidt of Thorp (Clark Co.), and two grandson, Rex of Minneapolis and Neal of
Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and eight
brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, at 11
a.m., with the Rev. David Fuller officiating. Interment was made in the Oakland
Cemetery in Stanley.
Pallbearers were Ken Lindquist, Russell Mead, Howard Thorpe, Walter Peterson,
Ronald and Chester Johnson.
