Ogurek, Diane (22 JUL 1972)

Webb Air Force Base Chapel, Big Spring, Tesas, was the site Saturday, July 22, 1972 for the 9 a.m. wedding of Miss Diane Ogurek and Lt. Nile Newburn.

Chaplain Summy officiated and Mrs. Martin was the organist.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clem Ogurek, Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.), and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Newburn of Rushmore, Minnesota.

Deborah Ogurek was her sister’s maid of honor, and Randy Johnson of Glencoe, Minnesota was best man. Captain Al Jorgensen of Seattle, Washington did the ushering duties.

For her wedding the bride chose an A-line gown designed and made by herself. A headpiece of white roses secured her floor length veil and she carried a bouquet of Stephanotis and red roses.

Her maid of honor wore a blue A-line gown with matching headpiece. She carried a red long stemmed rose.

After church services, brunch and reception were held at the Holiday Inn. The wedding dinner was served at the Officer’s Club at Webb Air Force Base.

Lt. Newburn is a graduate of St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota. At present he is in jet pilot training at Webb Air Force Base.

The former Miss Ogurek is a graduate of the Abbotsford High School. She spent the summer of 1971 in Europe with the American Field Service, and now is enrolled in the La Salle School of Interior Decorating and Design at Big Spring, Texas.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. Al Ogurek of Thorp (Clark Co.).
