Kosla, Albert F. (4 DEC 1901 – 23 AUG 1972)

Albert Kosla of Thorp (Clark Co.), Wisconsin died Wednesday morning, August 23, 1972 at his home, after a lingering illness.

He was born December 4, 1901 in Downers Grove, Illinois to Michael and Rose Kosla, and attended grade schools in Downers Grove, Illinois. Albert Kosla married Karmena Schultz on October 17, 1826 at St. Mary’s of Gostyn Church in Downers Grove, Illinois. They lived in Downers Grove until January 1956, when they moved to Thorp, Wisconsin and operated a farm in the Bellinger area.

Services were held on Saturday, August 26, 1972 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin (Taylor Co.), Wisconsin, with Father Francis Hilleshiem officiating. Burial was made at St. Hedwig’s Cemetery in Thorp, Wisconsin.

Pallbearers were Walter Hendzel, Casimier Ruzak, Victor Kaczmarczyk, Edmund Abramowicz, John Penk, and Edmund Liszewski.

Surviving are his wife Karmena and one son, Albert Jr., daughter-in-law Bernice, and sex grandchildren of Severna Park, Maryland. Raymond preceded his dad two weeks ago. Also surviving are his sisters and a brother, Catherine Wygonik of Chicago, Illinois, Mary Zaucki of Berwyn, Illinois, Emma Burek of Hinsdale, Illinois, Antonette Zarozan of La Grange Park, Illinois, Celia Kosla and Joseph of Downers Grove, Illinois.
