Bichler Marx (Mark), Anna (10 August 1880-29 January 1955)
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Bichler Marx, 74, of 607 Pennsylvania Ave., who
died Saturday at St. Nicholas Hospital, were held today.
The Rev. John J. Carroll, pastor, was the celebrant of the requiem mass at St.
Clement's Church, following brief rites at Gerend's Funeral Home.
Burial was made in the family lot in Saint Mary's Cemetery (Saint Anthony's) at
Loyal, Wisconsin, with the Rev. Father King officiating. The mass was sung by
the Saint Clement's school children's choir with Thomas Schaettle at the organ.
Pallbearers, all sons of the deceased, were Alex, Francis, Claude, Arthur,
Joseph, Anton and Peter Bichler.
A daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Langers, Mrs. Marx was born August 10,
1880, in the town of Belgium and was married to Peter Bichler who preceded her
in death in 1949.
On May 24, 1952, she was married to John Mark at Loyal, Wisconsin. The couple
made their home in Sheboygan since June, 1953. Mrs. Marx was a member of St.
Clement's parish.
Survivors are her husband: seven sons, Alex and Francis Bichler, of Milwaukee,
Claude and Arthur Bichler, of Wausau, Joseph of Kaukauna, Anton of Neilsville,
and Peter Bichler, Sheboygan; two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Davel, Milwaukee, and
Mrs. Marion Engebretson, Evanston, Illinois; 12 grandchildren, and four sisters,
Mrs. Lillie Oberst and Mrs. Tillie Hopp, of Belgium, Mrs. Julia Schneider, Port
Washington, and Mrs. Katherine Burnesch, Dacada.
Members of St. Clement's parish held a vigil at the funeral home Sunday evening.
The Rev. Donald R. Peters, curate, led the rosary.
