LOYAL--Cecelia M. Bremer, 82, of Loyl, died at her home on Monday, October 23,
2000.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 27, 2000, at St. Anthony's
Catholic Church in Loyal. The Very Rev. Roman Kaiser will officiate and burial
will follow in the parish cemetery.
Visitaion will be held Thursday, October 26, 2000 at the Cuddie Funeral Home in
Loyal where a Prayer Service will be held.
Cecelia Margaret Scherer was born on the home farm in Greenwood on July 18,
1918, to George and Anna (nee Ducey) Scherer. She was educated in the Greenwood
area, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1936.
On July 29, 1941, she married Elwood "Bud" Bremer in Greenwood. They farmed,
raised their family of two daughters and one son, and ran Bremer Construction
until Bud's death on July 7, 1970. She enjoyed life to the fullest and had many
hobbies including golf and gardening (when her health permitted), jigsaw
puzzles, card playing, reading and especially enjoyed her roses. Cecelia was a
lifelong member of St. Anthony's catholic Church and its PCCW. She was known to
all who loved her for her generosity and kindness.
She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie (Steve) Richardson of Spring Green, and
Brenda Bremer of Key Biscayne, Florida; her son, Bruce Bremer of Minot, North
Dakota; five grandchildren, Damon (Pam) Johnston of Spring Green, Darin (Deb)
Johnston of Muscoda, Dnan Johnston of Mesa, Arizona, and Andrea and Nicholas
Bremer, both of Minot; three great-grandchildren, Dustin and Denae Johnston and
Deryk Jordan; one sister, Mary (Leonard) Denk of Loyal; two sisters-in-law,
Florence Haas of Colby and Carol Scherer of Greenwood; and many nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Francis,
George and Raymond; one brother-in-law Raphael Haas; one sister-in-law, Minerva
Scherer.
