Wyczawski, Mary (15 AUG 1889 – 22 SEP 1972)
Funeral services for Mary Wyczawski, age 83, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), were held
at 10:30 a.m. Monday morning, September 25, 1972 at St. Hedwig’s Catholic
Church, Thorp, with Father John Puerner officiating, and Reverend Stanley
Wyczawski assisting. Burial was in Old St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, rural Thorp. Mrs.
Frank Wyczawski passed away at the Stanley Nursing Home in Stanley on Friday
afternoon.
She was born in San Francisco, California on August 15, 1889, the daughter of
Agnes and Lawrence Kaczmarczyk. She came to the Thorp area with her mother when
she was 9 years old and has lived in this area since. She married Frank
Wyczawski on July 6, 1906. They farmed in the Thorp/Stanley area for many years.
She has resided in the Stanley Nursing Home for the past two years.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; five sons, Val (Thorp), John (Chippewa
Falls), Stanley (Dearborn, Michigan), Tony (St. Paul, Minnesota, and Carl (New
Ulm, Minnesota); one daughter, Mrs. Bob Jarrell (Ann) Dearborn, Michigan; 23
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Szerlong,
Bensenville, Illinois and Mrs. Katherine Heinl of Chicago, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by two sons and one brother, Frank Masty.
