Ebben, Deborah K. (16 SEP 1972)
St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp, was the scene for the two p.m. marriage
ceremony performed by Reverend F. Brockman for Miss Deborah K. Ebben and Wayne
J. Seeger on Saturday, September 16th, 1972. Organist was Roger Truckey, with
Joe Possley as soloist.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Ebben, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.),
and Mr. and Mrs. John Seeger, Racine.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white crepe in an
empire silhouette. The bodice and long sleeves were of Venice lace and satin
ribbon accented the modified waistline. Her long mantilla gave the outfit a
total look. Venice lace completely edged the veil. A raised caplet of Venice
lace, seed pearls and crystals held the veil. She carried a colonial bouquet of
bridal pin and Mary Davor red sweethearts, with baby’s breath throughout the
bouquet.
Mrs. Lynn Vetterkind, friend of the bride, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids
were Miss Jane Ebben, Miss Nancie Ebben and Miss Pam Ebben, sister of the bride,
and Miss Joyce Hedler, friend of the bride. They wore orchid floral print
georgette over taffeta gowns styled with high self-ruffle necklines, bishop
sleeves, velvet ribbon trim at modified waistline, and gathered skirt with
flounce edge. Each wore orchid cornflowers and white stephanotis headbands in
their hair and carried orchid and white long stem mums.
Dan Kramer, friend of the groom, was best man, with groomsmen Tim Thibedeau,
Dick Seeger, Neil Seeger, and Lynn Vetterkind. Ushers were Mike Hale and Jim
Slowiak.
A supper and reception for three hundred and fifty guests was held at the Thorp
American Legion Hall, with a dance in the evening with music by Jerry Wilen
Band.
A miscellaneous shower was given by Mrs. Donna Teclaw, Mrs. Paula Vetterkind,
Jane, Nancie and Pam Ebben a the Moose Hall, and a shower was also given by Mrs.
Audrey Hale, Mrs. Joyce Seeger, Mrs. Lois Langdon, and Mrs. LeRoy Seeger, in
Racine.
The bride is a 1968 graduate of Thor High School and attend UW, Stevens Point.
The groom is a 1967 graduate of Racine Horlick and attended UW, Stevens Point.
After a weddng trip to northern Minnesota they will reside at 3108 86th Street,
Sturtevant, Wisconsin, where the groom is employed with West Lawn Memorial Park.
