Craig, Deborah (4-H Delegate to State - 1975)
Deborah Craig, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Craig, Rt. 1 Willard, has
been selected to attend the National 4-H Club Congress as a state delegate.
Deborah has been active in the Willard 4-H Club for eight years and has won
numerous honors, including a state dairy leadership award and Clark County 4-H
achievement award. She has participated in food, music and leadership projects,
and has exhibited champion cattle at county and state levels.
In addition to 4-H activities, Deborah belongs to the Clark County Holstein
Breeders and the Wisconsin Junior Dairymen’s association. Deborah has taken four
first-place trophies at a state junior dairymen’s conventions. She was named
outstanding Holstein girl of Clark County.
At Greenwood Community High School, where she graduated in 1975, Deborah was a
Badger Girls’ State representative and an active member of Future Farmers of
America (FFA) awards, served as chapter president, and received the state farmer
degree of the state FFA convention.
Deborah is now a freshman in agricultural education at the University of
Wisconsin at River Falls.
