SPENCER---Services for George O. Fricke, 84, Spencer, who died Sunday at his
home, will be Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Spencer.
The Rev. William Ruhbusch will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anthony's
Catholic Cemetery, Loyal.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Terry and Gary Kasper, Dean Allen and Tommy
Gotter and Dana and Danny Kobs. Visitation will be at Rux Funeral Home, Spencer,
today.
He was born April 17, 1906, in the town of Loyal, to August and Mary (Wehymiller)
Fricker. He received his education in Loyal. He married Elsie Strey June 9,
1956, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal.
He worked at General Motors, Janesville, and later farmed in the Loyal area
until 1950. He drove semitrailer truck until 1956. he then moved to Milwaukee
where he worked at General Motors until retiring in 1972. He and his wife moved
to Spencer after his retirement.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Jeannine) Young of
Loyal, Mrs, Gorden (Mary Jean) Goehring of the state of Oregon and Mrs. Robert
(Joan) Strey of Milwaukee; four step-children, Elmer Gotter of Loyal, Robert
Gotter of Racine, Mrs. Vernon (Darlene) Kasper of Merrill and Mrs. Tom (Donna)
Pollack of Milwaukee; one sister, Mrs. William (Arvilda) Loch of Watkins,
Minnesota; 21 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, one brother and one sister.
