Gregory, Theodore A. (17 November 1908-8 January 1989)
LOYAL--Theodore A. Gregory, 80, of Jensen Beach, Florida, a former Loyal
resident, died Sunday at the Marten Memorial Hospital in Stuart, Florida.
Services will be Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Loyal. The Rev.
Chester Osowski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tom Beaver, Dan Froeba, Greg Durst, Bruce Olson, John
Greschner and Rick Osborn.
Visitation will be at the Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal Wednesday, the Parish
Council of Catholic Women Rosary service will be Wednesday, followed by a prayer
service, both at the funeral home.
He was born November 17, 1908, in Cicero, Illinois to Arthur and Theresa
Gregory.
His first marriage was to Etta Beverly February 23, 1929. They were later
divorced. His second marriage, was to Ruby Stompanato, February 25, 1969.
Together with his father, they bought Lakosky Implement in 1944 and operated
until it sold in 1952. They then operated Gregory Distribution Company until
1955. He moved to McHenry, Illinois where he retired in 1978. He has lived in
Florida the past 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby; one son , Art of Granton; three daughters,
Mrs. John (Beverly) Beaver of Loyal, Mrs. Tom (Donna) Froeba of Colby, and Mrs.
Jerry (Sharon) Durst of Sun Prairie; one step-son, Michael Stompanato of
McHenry, Illinois; one sister, Mrs. Edward (Lydia) Olson of Estero, Florida; 17
grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and three great-grandchildren.
