Gross, Chester A, (2 January 1904-30 March 1993)
LOYAL-- Chester A. "Ted" Gross, 89, San Clemente, California, died March 30 at
Beverly Manor Nursing Home, Laguna Hills, California. His wife is Isabel (Leabel)
Gross, formerly of Loyal.
Memorial services will be Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, with
the Rev. Roman Kaiser officiating.
The body was cremated. Burial will be Saturday in the parish cemetery.
He was born January 2, 1904, in Duluth, Minnesota. He attended the University of
Wisconsin-Madison, where he was captain of the hockey team. He married Isabel
Leabel August 29, 1929.
He worked for AT&T in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. He had been a resident of
San Clemente for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife; one sister, Virginia Guith of San Diego; and nieces
and nephews, including Leabel Mack of Loyal and Joseph and Jon Voight of Wausau.
