Hahn, Walter III (Injury - 1975)
A rural Neillsville youth was the first gunshot injury victim for the 1975 deer
season when he accidentally fired his weapon into his foot Monday morning.
Injured was 15-year-old Walter Hahn III who received a gunshot wound to the toe.
According to his mother, the youth was hunting on the family farm when the gun
discharged. Injury was limited to only the loss of the tip of his big toe. The
youth was wearing heavy shoes and snowmobile boots at the time.
He was treated at and released from Neillsville Memorial Hospital.
