Hoeser, David (12 February 1960-13 February 1979)

LOYAL--David Hoeser, 19, Route 2, Loyal, a University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire freshman, was found dead Tuesday in Carson Park, Eau Claire. Eau Claire County Medical Examiner, Dr. Herbert Aitken, ruled death was the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Death occurred late Monday night.

Services will be Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal, with burial in St. Anthony's Cemetery. The Rev. Chester J. Osowski will officiate.

Friends may call Friday at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal. Parish Council of Catholic Women will say a rosary with a prayer service and Knights of Columbus will have rosary.

He was born February 12, 1960 in Marshfield. He attended St. Anthony's Parochial School and graduated in 1978 from Loyal High School.

While in high school, he was a member of the school band and National Honor Society, lettered three years in football and was senior class president. He also was involved in forensics.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hoeser of Loyal; a sister, Elizabeth, at home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Braun and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Hoeser, all of Loyal.

Pallbearers will be Harry Oestreich, Steve Miller, Scott Lauenstein, Tom Esselman, Greg Molle and Mark Brostowitz.
