Adeline Ann Heindl (20 Mar 1927 – 6 May 2006)
Adeline Ann Heindl, 79, of Dorchester, died Saturday, May 6 at St Joseph’s
Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 10 at St.
Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester, with Father Paul Gitter officiating. Burial
was at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Craig and Chris Heil,
Clinton and Paul Heindl, Mike King and Rob Wegmueller.
The former Adeline Geiger was born March 20, 1927 in the Town on Mayville, to
the late Joseph and Minnie (Wittman) Geiger.
She married Lawrence Heindl, who preceded her in death on September 15, 2000, on
September 10, 1946 at St Louis Catholic Church. They farmed in the Town of
Mayville for 33 years until 1979. She also worked as a cook for weddings and
banquets for over 10 years at Dorchester Memorial Hall. She also volunteered
driving senor citizens to appointments and helped at Dorchester Elementary
School.
She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, National Catholic order of
Foresters, and Dorchester Senior Citizens. She enjoyed camping, fishing,
bowling, playing cards, sewing quilts, crocheting and crafts.
Survivors include three sons, Paul (Sandy) of Spokane, Wash., Eugene of
Dorchester, and Jeffery of Hazelhurst; three daughters, Patricia (Dan) Heil of
Marathon, Karen (Ken) Lewandowski of Wausau, and Judy (Bobby) Bakshi of
Kirkland, Wash.; a brother, Irving of Dorchester; 13 grandchildren; and 11
great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son,
David in 1994; a sister, Isabelle Kauer; and four brothers, Clarence, Bernard,
Arthur and Sylvester.
