Evarist J. Heindl (13 Aug 1926 – 7 Nov 2011)

Evarist J. Heindl, 85, found eternal rest Nov. 7, 2011.

Evarist was born to Martin and Theresa (Dessl) Heindl. He was the brother of Matilda (Tille) Gonnering, Catherine Ellenbecker, Bernadette Heindl, Cecelia Feldbruegge, Gertrude Rozek, Lawrence, Joseph, Clement and Willie. He married Dena (Jackie) Straley on Oct. 23, 1971. She died on March 25, 1985. He was the loving companion of Karen Lisinski and beloved grandfather to Paul, Erik and Kevin Lisinski. and loving great-grandfather to David, Desmon, Deric, Sierra, Elizabeth, and Dylan Lisinski and Dawn Schoen.

Evarist started off as a son of a dairy farmer in Dorchester. He grew up with his 9 brothers and sisters. He attended St. Louis Grade School and Dorchester High School. After high school he moved to Milwaukee, where he worked as a pin setter at a bowling alley. After that he worked at Jager Bakery and Sacred Heart Hospital. After he fully retired, he continued to work cleaning taverns and picking up cans. In his spare time, he loved to work with wood and do yard work.

Evarist had an extreme love of life and he will be forever missed. His final resting spot will be at the North Memorial Cemetery (Actually buried in South Memorial) in Dorchester.

Paul Liniski and Craig Zinda took care of Evarist until he passed. They saw to it that his final wishes were met.

He is survived by his two sisters, Celia Feldbrugge and Gertrude Rozek, and brother, Clement. Further survived by his extended loving family and many dear friends
