Bauer, Susan M. (23 JUL 1954 – 19 MAR 2020)
Susan M. Bauer, 65, Marshfield, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, March
19, 2020. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Susan was born on July 23, 1954, in Spencer, the daughter of Armin and Emily
Foth. She graduated in 1972 from Spencer High School. On Sept. 17, 1982, she was
united in marriage to David A. Bauer. Together, they raised six children. Susan
was employed as a bookkeeper for several area businesses. She was a member of
Faith Lutheran Church in Marshfield. Sue loved doing anything outdoors whether
it was going camping and sitting around the fi re, taking the day to go fishing,
or even sitting outside enjoying the weather. Some of her all-time favorite
trips were fall color tours, fi sh boils in Door County, and trips to the lake.
She also enjoyed antiquing, fun jewelry finds, auctions, reading, and in-depth
coloring projects.
She leaves behind the love of her life, David; fi ve children: Stephanie (James
Weiland) Bauer, Jessica (Jason) Piltz, Jeremy (Jenny) Bauer, Phillip (Crissy)
Bauer and Cassandra (Jon) Kasco; many grandchildren: Benedict, Jaden, Janilee,
Emma Jo, Jasmine, Jeremiah, Jason, Dominic (Jordan), MyKayla (Issiah), Sarah,
Logan, Hayden, Preston, Zachary, Aryana, Silas, Skylar, Michaela, Hannah, Kyan,
Beau, Bella, Bryce, Brooklynn and Baby Bauer; her great-grandchildren: Payton,
Decklin, Morgyn and Ariella; her mother, Emily Johnson; her sister, Kathy (Al)
Weyer; her brother, Steve (Karen) Foth; a sister-in-law, Sue Foth; her
mother-in-law, Dickie Bauer; many nieces and nephews; and her three favorite
pups: Smokie, Bella and Pip.
Susan was preceded in death by her son, Jonathon; her father, Armin; a brother,
Michael; her bonus father, Lon; her in-laws, Robert and Elaine Bauer; and two
brothers-in-law: Mark and Dennis Bauer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are being accepted in Susan’s name to the American
Cancer Society.
The family wished to extend a heartfelt thank you to our friends at the House of
the Dove for all their love and care.
