Jarvis, George (16 October 1884-13 November 1971)

Funeral services for George Jarvis, 87, who died Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Victor Steffeck, 624 Winton St., Wausau, will be held Tuesday at Peterson Funeral Home and at St. James Catholic Church, both in Wausau. The Rev. William Nikolai will officiate, and burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Tuesday. Friends may call now at the funeral home, where there will be a parish vigil today.

Mr. Jarvis was born October 16, 1884, in the town of Green Grove, son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Jarvis. On April 1, 1907, in, Loyal, he was married to Mabel Devlin, who died September 23, 1941. he was a letter carrier in Loyal for 14 years. He had resided in Wausau for 49 years and installed furnaces for Holland Furnace Sales & Service and the former Sell Brothers.

Survivors besides his daughter include two sons, Patrick, Milwaukee, and Judd, Park Falls; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
